Privacy Policy
Last updated: 5 June 2026
1. Introduction
Illuminature Ventures B.V. ("Illuminature", "we", "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting any personal data you choose to share with us. This Privacy Policy explains, in plain language, how our website illuminature.world treats personal information in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, Regulation (EU) 2016/679).
2. Data we do not collect
This website is intentionally designed as a low-impact, privacy-respecting experience. We do not:
- Use marketing, advertising, or analytics cookies.
- Run third-party trackers, pixels, or fingerprinting scripts.
- Operate contact forms, account systems, or newsletter sign-ups.
- Profile visitors or build behavioural advertising audiences.
The only browser storage we use is a small, strictly necessary localStorage entry to remember your accessibility preferences on your device. This data never leaves your browser and is not transmitted to us.
3. Data we process when you email us
The site offers a mailto: link to contact@illuminature.world. When you choose to click this link and send a message, your email client transmits to us the information you provide, which typically includes:
- Your name and email address as configured in your email client.
- The subject line and body of your message, including any attachments.
- Standard email metadata added by your email provider.
4. Purpose and legal basis
We process the contents of your email solely to read and respond to your enquiry. The legal basis under Article 6(1) GDPR is:
- Legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)) in answering business correspondence, and
- Pre-contractual steps (Article 6(1)(b)) where your message relates to a potential commercial relationship.
In line with the GDPR principle of purpose limitation, we will not reuse your email for marketing, profiling, or any unrelated purpose without your prior, freely given consent.
5. Storage, security, and retention
Your message is stored within our standard business mailbox, which is protected by access controls, encrypted in transit (TLS), and hosted with EU-based or GDPR-compliant providers. We retain correspondence only for as long as is necessary to handle your request and to meet applicable statutory record-keeping obligations, after which it is deleted or archived securely.
6. Sharing and international transfers
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We only share it with trusted service providers (such as our email host) acting as processors under written agreements, and only to the extent strictly necessary to deliver our reply. Where any transfer outside the European Economic Area is unavoidable, it is protected by Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and to data portability. You may exercise any of these rights, free of charge, by emailing contact@illuminature.world. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority — in the Netherlands, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
8. Updates to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to our practices or legal requirements. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the most recent revision took effect.
9. Controller
The data controller is Illuminature Ventures B.V., Alendorperweg 10A, 3451 GM Utrecht, Netherlands. For any privacy question, please contact us at contact@illuminature.world.
